Paul F. Silver has been named chairman and CEO of one of Virginia’s largest commercial real estate firms. Silver joined the company in 1984 and was named president in 1992 and CEO in 1996. The chairman position has been vacant since 2000.
Since Silver took the helm, the Henrico County-based firm has grown from one office to nine full-service offices, including a new corporate headquarters in the county. The company’s board announced Silver’s promotion at its May meeting. Succeeding Silver as president is C. Lee Warfield III. He joined Thalhimer in 1995 and served most recently as executive vice president. Evan M. Magrill moves to Warfield’s position. He joined the company in 1993 and has been working as a senior vice president. Magrill will continue managing the Richmond brokerage operation and providing executive oversight of MGT Construction, Thalhimer’s wholly owned construction company.
The changes are part of Thalhimer’s long-term strategic plan. The company has more than 100 broker professionals and employs more than 300 associates with a property portfolio of 32 million square feet of leasable space.
