Oceus Networks, a provider of broadband solutions, has hired three new executives to serve the company’s expanding government customer base. The new hires include Alan Stewart, senior vice president and CFO; Peter Brady, vice president, sales; and Gary Messina, vice president, business development.
Oceus Networks was created in January when Ericsson completed the sale of Ericsson Federal Inc. to Tailwind Capital. Oceus Networks serves as Ericsson’s exclusive channel to certain segments of the U.S. government and offers its slate of commercial off-the-shelf technology and support services.
“With governments increasingly turning to the private sector to leverage commercial broadband communications solutions, our new company and executive team will address emerging government, law enforcement and military requirements,” Doug Smith, president and CEO of Oceus Networks, said in a statement.
Before joining Oceus Networks, Stewart was the CFO and senior vice president of ICF International, Inc. Brady previously worked as sales director at Merlin International.
Messina was as an assistant commissioner within the Immigration and Naturalization Service and served as the first chief information officer for the Citizenship and Information Service within the Department of Homeland Security.
