Chris McDonald has been selected as Northwest Federal Credit Union’s new CEO. McDonald is expected to start in September and succeeds Gerrianne D. “Winky” Burks, who’s retiring from the company in January after 41 years.
Most recently McDonald was CEO of Andrews Federal Credit Union in Suitland, Md. He also has worked as a state regulator and an executive vice president of finance and information systems at First Community Credit Union in Houston.
Northwest Federal Credit Union is one of the largest credit unions in Virginia. The company is based in Herndon, serves more than 111,000 members and has assets of more than $2.2 billion.
