NASA has awarded Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) an IT contract extension that could be worth more than $62 million if all options are exercised.
The extension has an eight-month base period of performance, valued at more than $36 million. The options would add up to 14 months, extending the contract through March 2012.
The McLean-based defense contractor will provide IT services such as audio-visual services, telecommunications, mainframe system support and procurement. The Fortune 500 company will support NASA’s Information Technology Service Network and also provide services to NASA’s George C. Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala.
