MeadWestvaco Corp. has promoted Brent A. Harwood to controller.
Harwood is taking the place of John E. Banu, who is retiring after 37 years with MWV.
Harwood has been assistant controller since 2006. He will oversee the company’s financial reporting and accounting processes and ensure that it operates in compliance with reporting and regulatory requirements.
Before joining MWV, Harwood was corporate controller with Cadmus Communications Corp. for five years and was in the accounting and audit services for Deloitte for 12 years.
