Long & Foster announces new vice president

Long & Foster Real Estate Inc. has named Lydia Martinez vice president of human resources. Martinez will be based at the company’s corporate headquarters in Chantilly.

Prior to joining Long & Foster, Martinez led the George Washington University equal employment opportunity efforts. Before that she was vice president at Thompson Hospitality, a minority-owned food service provider in Herndon. She also served as executive director of institutional equity and labor relations at the Community College of Baltimore County in Maryland. 

Long & Foster Real Estate Inc. represents more than 12,000 agents in seven Mid-Atlantic States, plus the District of Columbia. It is part of The Long & Foster Companies.
