James J. Wheaton has been named general counsel and vice president of legal and government affairs at Virginia Beach-based Liberty Tax Service.
For nearly 10 years, Wheaton was a partner with Troutman Sanders LLP. During his tenure at the law firm, he chaired its securities and capital markets practice group and mergers, acquisitions and business ventures practice group.
