Online education company K12 Inc.has appointed former Michigan Gov. John M. Engler to its board of directors.
Engler has been president of the Business Roundtable, an association of CEOs of leading companies since January 2011. Engler was president and CEO of the National Association of Manufacturers from 2004 until 2011. He served as Michigan’s 46th governor for three terms from 1991 to 2003.
Engler is also on the board of directors of Universal Forest Products Inc. and Munder Capital Management.
Engler’s appointment was effective Oct. 22.
