Jeanne Evans-Cox will take over as executive director of the Central Business District Association in Virginia Beach on March 7. She succeeds Pearl Smith, who is retiring on Feb. 25 after 23 years with the CBDA.
The association has more than 160 member companies and other organizations, most of which are located in and around Virginia Beach Town Center.
Evans-Cox, a longtime active board member for the association, currently works as Hampton Roads’ regional representative for U. S. Sen. Jim Webb.
