Newport News-based Huntington Ingalls Industries has named Bruce N. Hawthorne corporate vice president, general counsel and secretary.
Hawthorne is the company’s chief legal officer and has overall responsibility for the law department and its outside counsel.
Before joining the company, he was partner and development chairman for the law firm Arnall Golden Gregory LLP.
The other members of the HII senior leadership team, all of whom were part of Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding senior management,are:
— Irwin F. Edenzon, corporate vice president and general manager, Gulf
Coast Operations;
— Matthew J. Mulherin, corporate vice president and general manager,
Newport News Operations;
— Barbara A. Niland, corporate vice president, business management, and
chief financial officer;
— William R. Ermatinger, corporate vice president and chief human
resources officer;
— Daniel L. Arczynski, corporate vice president, strategy;
— Jerri Fuller Dickseski, corporate vice president, communications;
— George M. Simmerman, corporate vice president and deputy general
counsel;
— Scott Stabler, corporate vice president, corporate operations; and
— Mitchell “Mitch” B. Waldman, corporate vice president, government and
customer relations.
Huntington Ingalls Industries, previously known as Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding, began operating as an independent company, publicly owned company on Thursday after being spun off by Northrop Grumman Corp.
