Independent engineering and design firm Gibbs & Cox Inc. announced the appointment Monday of Shawn Tallant as vice president of business development and strategy. Tallant will oversee strategic business plans and business growth for the company’s portfolio of U.S. government agencies, domestic and international commercial clients.
Before joining Arlington-headquartered Gibbs & Cox, Tallant spent six years with Raytheon Corp.’s Integrated Defense Systems in business development in its Seapower Capabilities business practice.
Prior to Raytheon, Tallant served 27 years as a Navy officer, leading both aviation and surface commands.
Tallant’s hiring is part of Gibbs & Cox’s efforts to expand its government services sector.
