General manager named for Virginia Tech conference center

Benchmark Hospital International has named Tom Shaver general manager of The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center in Blacksburg.

Shaver was previously director of lodging operations for Callaway Gardens Resort in Pine Mountain, Ga. He has held leadership positions with many hospitality brands in the U.S. and previously owned a restaurant.
