Benjamin Menendez, senior vice president of General Cigar Co. in Richmond, was one of nine men inducted yesterday into Cigar Aficionado magazine’s Hall of Fame.
The magazine, which is celebrating 20th anniversary, said the inductees “have played vital roles in the growth and development of the cigar industry.”
General Cigar Co.’s brands include Macanudo and Partaga.
The 2012 Hall of Fame group represented the magazine’s second class of inductees.
