Terry Jamerson has been named vice president of community newspapers for the Virginia division of World Media Enterprises Inc.
World Media Enterprises is a part of BH Media Group, a subsidiary of Omaha, Neb.-based Berkshire Hathaway Inc.. The company, headed by legendary investor Warren Buffett, recently completed its $142 million acquisition of 63 newspapers from Richmond-based Media General Inc. The sale included the Richmond Times-Dispatch and seven other daily newspapers in Virginia.
Jamerson had been with Media General since 1995 as a group leader and publisher for the Lynchburg-Roanoke-Danville cluster of newspapers, websites and television stations. She previously held management positions in Media General newspapers in Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina and Florida.
Jamerson, a native of Martinsville, lives in Appomattox.
