Dynamics Research Corp., an Andover, Mass., IT consultant, reorganized its operations. The Federal Group, based in Arlington, will have four divisions covering security and defense customers. Paul Strasser will lead the group. (News release)

Gladstone Investment Corp. invested $10.8 million in Precision Southeast Inc., a Myrtle Beach, S.C., custom molding company. The deal was done with a combination of senior debt and equity. (Washington Business Journal)

NetWitness Corp., a Fairfax County provider of network security monitoring systems, will invest $1.1 million to expand its headquarters and operations. The move will create 50 jobs. (News release)

Rinker Design Associates, an engineering firm, and NAL Research Corp., a research company, jointly purchased a 5-acre site in Innovation@Prince William Technology Park to construct a shared headquarters and operations facility. Two buildings, totaling 90,000 square feet, will be constructed at the site. (PRNewswire)

Wisnewski Blair & Associates, an Alexandria-based engineering company, was acquired by HGA Architects and Engineers of Minneapolis in an effort to expand HGA’s East Coast presence in the government and health-care sectors. (News release)
