Environmental lawyers join Williams Mullen

Two environmental law attorneys formerly with Troutman Sanders have joined the law firm Williams Mullen in Richmond.

John Daniel and Lynne Rhode now are partners with Williams Mullen.

Daniel served in a number of state positions, including as assistant attorney general, deputy secretary of commerce and trade and secretary of natural resources.

In 2011, Rhode served on the Department of Environmental Quality’s Combustion Regulatory Advisory Panel and currently serves on the Board of the Environmental Law Section of the Virginia Bar Association.

Daniel earned his law degree from the University of Richmond and his bachelor’s degree from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian College.

Rhode has a master’s degree from the London School of Economics, a law degree from the University of Virginia, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina.
