Davenport & Co. names president and COO
January 04, 2012 5:04 PMI. Lee Chapman IV has been named president and chief operating officer of Richmond-based Davenport & Co. LLC.
Chapman was promoted to head of retail sales last year. He serves on the firm’s executive committee, investment policy committee, and board of directors. He also co-manages the equity opportunities portfolio.
Chapman began his career in the financial services industry with Nations Securities in retail bank brokerage operations.
A graduate of the University of Virginia, he joined Davenport in 1995 as a portfolio manager in Davenport Asset Management.
