CSC of Falls Church has acquired a Brazilian IT company to expand to boost its position in the emerging financial services market
CSC purchased VIXIA Consultoria e Technologia LTda., which is based in São Paulo. The firm is focused on operational software, business consulting and systems integration services for insurance and financial service clients. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. CSC increased its business in Latin America in 2009.
“Expanding our financial services business in high-growth geographies, including Latin America, is a key thrust of our strategy, and the acquisition of VIXIA enhances CSC’s ability to serve both local and multinational clients operating in the region,” Ray August, president of CSC’s Financial Services Group said in a statement.
