March 05, 2013 5:48 AM

The Chesapeake Hospital Authority has named Peter F. Bastone president and CEO of Chesapeake Regional Medical Center.

Bastone was most recently chief administrative officer of CHA Health Systems in Los Angeles and Seoul, South Korea.

During this tenure at CHA Health Systems, he was responsible for its international expansion to the U.S. of CHAUM, an anti-aging center that included treatments from Eastern, Western and alternative medicines, stem cell therapies, exercise prescriptions and food therapies. He also helped bring the system’s global stem cell clinical trial center – the world’s only one-stop clinical trial center for regenerative medicines – to the U.S.

Prior to CHA Health Systems, Bastone was CEO of Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo, Calif., and Mission Hospital Laguna Beach.

Bastone will start at Chesapeake Medical Center in April.
