Bowman Consulting Group Ltd. has hired Charles D. Hardy to expand its Transmission Services division. As a vice president, Hardy will lead Chantilly company’s efforts within this energy sector, as part of the firm’s larger power and energy group.
Before joining Bowman, Hardy managed Dominion’s Electric Transmission Right-of-Way Group, responsible for more than 6,000 miles of right-of-way for one of the country’s largest energy producers and transporters. During his 30 years with Dominion, Hardy, a resident of Chesterfield County, was responsible for the right-of-way acquisition process, revenue generation, project permitting, environmental, forestry and the procurement of consultant services.
“With increased domestic energy production and demand, transmission infrastructure must be expanded and updated,” Gary Bowman, president of Bowman said in a statement. “The knowledge that Charles brings to our team provides a deeper understanding of how we can better support clients in this dynamic market.”
