Central Virginia Bank and Central Virginia Bankshares Inc. have appointed Robert B. Eastep as senior vice president and chief financial officer.

The current CFO, Charles F. Catlett III, will become senior vice president and director of personal investment sales effective April 4, as he moves toward his retirement.

Eastep has more than 20 years of accounting experience. Before joining the Powhatan-based company, he was executive vice president and CFO of Saxon Capital Inc for seven years. He is a licensed CPA in Virginia.
