CACI International Inc. has hired Dr. Keith L. Salzman as chief medical information officer.
Salzman will work with the Arlington-based company to increase its expansion in healthcare IT and clinical informatics. CACI is the prime developer of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Virtual Lifetime Electronic Record (VLER), technology that will help the VA, Department of Defense and private health-care providers share patient health records.
Salzman was most recently the chief medical information officer at Madigan Army Medical Center, where he developed a global medical network within the DoD that provides healthcare to all U.S. military personnel. Under Salzman’s leadership, the Madigan Informatics Division grew from a team of 10 to more than 100 with a budget of $3 million to $6 million during a six-year period.
