Brink’s names new president for North American division

The Brink’s Co. based in Richmond has named Mel Parker as president of the company’s North American operations. Parker will start his new role at the securities services firm on Dec. 31.
Parker previously worked at Dell Inc. in Austin, Texas, where he was vice president and general manager of Dell's North American Consumer, Small Business and Member Loyalty Division.
Before that, Parker was the senior vice president of sales and retail channel marketing for the office products division of Newell Rubbermaid in Chicago. He also has worked at Corporate Express, a division of Staples, in Denver.
