Jeffrey V. Haley has been named CEO of American National Bankshares Inc. in Danville.
Haley will remain president of the company and president and CEO of American National Bank and Trust Co.
His appointment is effective on Jan. 1.
American National Bankshares is a multi-state bank holding company with assets of approximately $1.3 billion. It is the parent company of American National Bank and Trust Co.
An officer of the bank since January 1997, he formerly served as executive vice president, chief operating officer and president of trust and financial services.
Haley will succeed Charles H. Majors as CEO of the company. Majors will become the full-time executive chairman of the company and the bank.
