Allianz names CIO and CFO
January 18, 2013 4:50 PMTravel insurance company Allianz Global Assistance USA has named a new chief financial officer and chief information officer.
Daniel Wichels has been appointed CFO, overseeing financial operations for the company’s Americas zone. Wichels joined Allianz in 2001 and became chief investment officer at Allianz Global Assistance Group in Paris in 2008. He was transferred to the U.S. in 2011 to oversee finances in the Americas zone.
Jay Levine has been named CIO. He was oversee IT strategy for the U.S. business unit and the company’s Americas zone. Previously, he was CIO at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota.
