Allegheny Logistics names a director of business development

Allegheny Logistics Group, based out of Dublin, has named Lee Milton as director of business development for its three subsidiaries: Allegheny Brokerage, Allegheny Logistics Services and Allegheny Ocean Transport. Milton, of Greensboro, N.C., is a licensed customs broker and a 20-year veteran in the supply logistics industry, specializing in regulatory compliance, transportation management and distribution and warehouse logistics.
Before joining Allegheny, he managed logistics activities at Polo Ralph Lauren, Wrangler/Lee, Avery Denison and Volvo Logistics. With extensive operations throughout western Virginia, Allegheny plans to enlarge its territory to include Southern Virginia and central North Carolina as well as enhance its focus on the Lynchburg region. “Over the past 12 years our business has grown, and we recently expanded our portfolio to include the Logistics Services and Ocean Transport,” President James Loux said in a statement. “With the addition of this senior management position, we will be able to increase the international footprint for all types of business from major corporations to small and medium-sized companies.”
Located next door to the U.S. Customs Office at the New River Valley Airport, Allegheny works with offices and agents in 80 cities throughout the world. The company has been affiliated for nearly 10 years with the Virginia Leaders in Export Trade, (VALET) a state program that provides training to businesses interested in developing international trade.
