Alion Science and Technology has received a 5-year contract to manage and promote a former Air Force Research Lab as a Technology Center of Excellence for Mesa, Ariz.
Alion, based in McLean, will manage the 80,000-square-foot facility and market it to businesses. The center will promote aerospace, defense and homeland security research and development. The center includes an airstrip and a laboratory and office space that can accommodate more than 200 scientists, engineers and technicians.
