Roanoke-based Advance Auto Parts has promoted two executives to senior positions.
Kurt Schumacher has been named senior vice president, national field operations. His responsibilities include leading the operations of the company’s nearly 3,500 stores.
Schumacher joined Advance in 1998 in Advance’s acquisition of Western Auto. During the past 11 years, he has served as an area senior vice president.
Joe Gonzalez has been named area senior vice president, responsible for leading the company’s store operations in Florida, the Southeast, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. He will report to Schumacher.
Gonzalez joined Advance in 2001 with the company’s acquisition of Discount Auto Parts and has served in multiple field and corporate leadership roles. He most recently was regional vice president in Miami where he was responsible for the operations of more than 140 stores
