access, was named winner of the Cornerstone Award for
outstanding customer service by Broadband Properties
Magazine. The awards, given in six areas including marketing,

Outstanding Private Sector Plan Award from the Virginia
Chapter of the America Planning Association for its
master plan for the Village of Rocketts Landing in Richmond.

Anthony “Tony” Jimenez, president
and CEO of MicroTech, a Vienna-based IT and network
services company, was selected as one of the 25 Powerful
Minority Men in Business by the Minority Enterprise Executive

Lane Kneedler, a partner at the Richmond law
firm Reed Smith LLP, was elected to a second two-year
term as secretary of the Uniform Law Commission, a group
of 350 attorneys, judges and legal professionals from
across the country which drafts and promotes adoption
of uniform statues. He was previously a law professor
at the University of Virginia and a chief deputy to the

LP, was named Newman Visiting Fellow at The Miller
Center of Public Affairs at the University of Virginia.

Everette G. “Buddy” Allen
Jr., a
partner in the Richmond law firm LeClair Ryan, and his
wife, Ann, donated $2.6 million to Randolph-Macon
College in
Ashland. A 1962 graduate of RMC, Allen and his wife have
contributed between $3.5 and $4 million to the college
over the years. Part of the gift will be used to establish

Yvonne Allmond,
a senior vice president in private banking for TowneBank,
was named president of the Norfolk State University
Foundation Board, the first woman to hold the position.
Among a number of civic ventures, Gov. Mark Warner named
Allmond a commissioner for the Virginia Housing Development

Robert W. Hershberger, executive vice president
