Conn., commercial printing company, for $430 million. The merger will create
the third-largest graphic communications company in

life sciences research company, bought the outstanding
capital stock, 2.2 million shares, of Mimotopes Pty Ltd.

Australia
, a producer of research-grade peptides. PharmAust Ltd.,
owner of Mimotopes, will receive a 39.5 percent equity
stake in Commonwealth from the sale. CBI expects strong
revenue potential from the growth in demand for peptides,
as well as open possibilities in the

& Co., a Newport News-based insurance provider.
West will provide Gateway a vehicle for expansion of

Frieden Agency Inc. of
Virginia Beach, the employee-benefit affiliate of The
Frieden Agency. Towne plans to merge its acquisition
with Benefit Design Group, a subsidiary of Towne
Insurance Agency, to offer more services and expand beyond
