a British manufacturer of plastic tubing used in the
personal care products industry, plans to invest $24
million to open a manufacturing facility in Danville, creating 145 jobs. Virginia competed with New Jersey and Pennsylvania

Banker Steel Company LLC, plans to
invest $1 million in a new steel fabricating operation
in Campbell County, creating 110 jobs. The company
intends to maintain operations at its Lynchburg facility in addition to the new Campbell County plant. Virginia competed with South

Dominion Resources Inc., a Richmond-based power
company, announced plans to locate an $800 million
power generation plant in Wise County.
The plant faces a lengthy regulatory review process.
The plant will create about 800 construction jobs,
75 permanent jobs and 250 jobs in coal mines to keep

McAirlaid's Vliesstoffe
GmbH & Co.
KG, a manufacturer of non-woven composite materials,
headquartered in Germany,
plans to invest $85 million and create 160 jobs by
opening a manufacturing facility in Franklin County, which will also serve as the firm's U.S. headquarters.
The manufacturing operation will use a patented method
to create non-woven materials without using chemicals
or glue. Virginia competed with Kentucky
