Virginia made $5 million in
competitive state grants available for each of the
next two years to communities affected by 2005’s
Base and Realignment Closure process. The Virginia
Military Strategic Response Fund will support planning
activities, transportation programs, housing, public
infrastructure and work force transition. (News
