America Online Inc., a Dulles-based Internet
services provider, awarded one of three segments of
a new ad campaign to The Martin Agency of Richmond.

Internet portal, giving nonmembers access to its content
for the first time. Martin will create offline segments
of the campaign, including newspaper and magazine ads,
outdoor advertising and radio and TV spots. (Richmond
Times-Dispatch) AOL also entered into an agreement
with XM Satellite, a Washington, D.C. provider of satellite
radio programming, and AEG, a Los Angeles-based concert
producer and promoter, to provide concerts and other
entertainment events through a variety of platforms
including the Internet and wireless devices. AOL hopes
to draw advertisers through the venture, which will
spotlight AEG's events and provide XM a new content
stream. (The Washington Post)
