STG, an IT firm focused on services
to homeland security and Federal government
clients, moved 200 employees to new corporate
headquarters in Reston. The multi-year lease
governs 66,000 square feet at 11710 Plaza America
Drive. The move was prompted by the need for
more space after several expansions and new

Evans Distribution Systems, a Detroit-based
logistics provider of warehouse and transportation
solutions, leased 90,000 square feet of warehouse
space at Hampton Roads Logistics Facility in
Suffolk for distribution of automotive parts.
The project means $1.5 million in capital investment

Earl Industries, a Portsmouth-based
shipyard, bought 21.3 acres of land along the
north shore of Scotts Creek for $550,000 from
the City of Portsmouth, for construction of
warehouses and an office building. The company
plans to invest $11 million in investment of

Harris Williams & Co., an investment-banking
firm with an office in Richmond, leased 27,500
square feet in the Riverside on the James complex,
seeking more space than currently available
at its East Main Street offices. Riverside on
the James, a four-acre development on Brown’s
Island, will house offices, luxury apartments,
