Genworth
Financial, formerly the Richmond-based insurance
and retirement products subsidiary of General
Electric, officially went public in a $2.8 billion
IPO, the largest in the country thus far. Genworth
becomes the eighth Fortune 500 company with headquarters

Microwave Circuits, a
Washington, D.C.-based manufacturer of components
for communications equipment, announced plans
to relocate its headquarters to Lynchburg. The
$2.1 million investment is expected to create

Watson Wyatt & Company, a global
consulting firm focused on human capital and
financial management, has decided to move its
corporate headquarters and local consulting
operations from Chevy Chase, Md. to Arlington.
The move will be made in four phases to conclude
