Cindy K. Andreotti, president of MCI's enterprise sales division at MCI, Ashburn, announced her resignation for undisclosed reasons. She had been with the company for 14 years. No replacement was named and her responsibilities will be assumed within the U.S. sales division. (The Washington Post)

Albert T. "Tappy" August III, president and general manager, Richmond Times-Dispatch, Richmond, announced plans to retire at the end of 2004. He has managed operations at the newspaper since 1994. (PR)

Seth D. Blumefeld, president of MCI International division of MCI, Ashburn, announced his retirement effective at the end of the year after 30 years in the telecommunications business. (The Washington Post)

Sandy Bridgman, partner, Collins, Waters & Bridgman Advertising (previously Waters Advertising Agency), Newport News. Bridgman served in a number of positons at the firm, most recently executive vice president of account services. (PR)

Kathryn B. McQuade, executive vice president planning and chief information officer, Norfolk Southern Corp. Norfolk. McQuade was senior vice president finance for the company, and is the first female executive vice president in Norfolk Southern's history. (The Virginian Pilot)
