ROSSLYN
The Corporate Executive Board, a Washington, D.C.-based research company, has signed a 20-year lease to move into a new 1 million-square-foot mixed use project in Arlington County. The company, which provides best practices research, and other services to many Fortune 500 corporations, currently has employees in four buildings in Washington. The 24-story Waterview towers will provide the option of putting everyone together in one location and allow for staff growth in a tight real estate market. The anticipated occupancy date is the first quarter of 2008. The project is being developed by JBG Cos. of Chevy Chase, Md., real estate investor CIM Group of Los Angeles and Trizec Properties Inc., a Chicago-based real estate investment trust. It is expected to result in a $227 million investment and 2,500 new jobs for the Corporate Executive Board, paying an average annual salary of $70,000.
