Mergers and Acquisitions

DynCorp, an employee-owned information technology and outsourcing firm headquartered in Falls Church, is being acquired by Computer Sciences Corp., an El Segundo, Calif.-based IT services company. The acquisition is valued at about $950 million. (PR Newswire)

Lanford Brothers Co., a Roanoke-based construction services provider, purchased 100 percent of the stock of Kirk-Neal Inc., a guard rail and sign erection contractor previously based in Quinque.

Webb Technologies of Norfolk and Colonial Mechanical Corp. of Richmond, providers of commercial and industrial HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and process piping construction and service, were acquired by Howard Webb Sr. and family from First Energy, an Akron, Ohio-based utility. (PR Newswire)

Wilton Properties Inc., a Richmond-based real estate development and property-management company was acquired by a group of investors, one of which was the real estate development company, Southern Financial Corp., also of Richmond. AttoTek, a research and development software contractor of Culpeper, plans to create 40 jobs through a $1.2 million investment in a 10,000-square-foot facility on State Route 684. (Press release)
