American Management Systems Inc., a business and information technology consulting firm to the government, financial services and communications industries, announced the settlement of a patent infringement dispute between AMS and Windsor Technologies Inc., regarding Windsor’s use of a system for the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency. TracerNET Corp. of Chantilly, a provider of fleet management solutions, is being sued for patent infringement by Trimble, a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based innovator of Global Positioning System technology. (PR Newswire)

Siemens VDO Automotive Corp., a German-based company with fuel injector production in Newport News, is being sued by 36 employees alleging that labor leaders and the company colluded to force union members to approve a new around-the-clock work schedule.The employees are also suing their union over a proposed change in shifts—from 8 hours to 12 hours.
