Estara Inc., a Reston-based developer of
Web voice technology, acquired a division of IXTC
Corp. of Princeton, N.J. IXTC received a 20 percent
ownership stake in eStara, and licensing and call
competition revenue. Estara acquired the company's
"Push to Talk" e-commerce service and
will consolidate it into eStara's Reston office.
IXTC will close its Beaverton, Oregon office.

Smithfield Foods Inc.,
a food processor headquartered in Smithfield,
signed letters of intent to acquire Stadler's
Country Hams Inc., a North Carolina ham producer,

Core Consulting of Richmond

Dominion, a Richmond-based
power company, has agreed to acquire Louis Dreyfus
National Gas of Oklahoma City, Okla., for $2.3
