Booz Allen Hamilton names financial executive to lead commercial financial services practice

Thomas Sanzone has been named senior vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton and will lead the firm’s commercial financial services practice.
Sanzone was chief administrative officer for Merrill Lynch and chief information officer for both Credit Suisse and Citigroup.
“Large financial institutions are at a turning point today as they face the growing threat of cyber attacks and changing economic conditions that are driving them to reimagine their infrastructures to achieve greater efficiencies and cost savings,” said Mark Gerencser, executive vice president for Booz Allen’s U.S. commercial business. “Tom Sanzone brings to Booz Allen the critical experience in financial administration and technology to help our commercial finance clients navigate through these challenges.”
While at Merrill Lynch, Sanzone lead the merger between the firm and Bank of America.
He also has worked at Citigroup, where he was CIO for the Corporate and Investment Bank, the Private Client Group, and the Global Transaction Services business.
Sanzone has a B.S. degree in computer science from Hofstra University.
