S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. executives are elected leaders of new CCIM chapter

John J. Wessling, a member of the Retail Leasing and Brokerage Division at S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. in Norfolk, has been elected the first president of a new combined Washington, D.C/Maryland/Virginia chapter of CCIM. William C. “Bill” Overman III, also of the company’s retail leasing brokerage, was elected to the board and will serve as the educational co-chair.
The Virginia chapter of CCIM completed a merger with the D.C./Maryland chapter effective Jan. 1.
Both men already have earned the CCIM designation. A Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) is a recognized expert in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate. To earn the designation, candidates must complete several courses, submit a qualifying portfolio of experience and take a comprehensive examination. CCIMs represent more than 9,000 professionals who hold the designation across North America and more than 30 countries.
