Northrop Grumman Corp. names new VITA vice president

Northrop Grumman Corp. has named Jim Kane as the new vice president and program manager of the Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) program.
Kane will be responsible for the overall management of the IT infrastructure partnership between Northrop Grumman and the state that is overseen by VITA. The public/private venture has been modernizing the state executive branch’s infrastructure.
Kane has been an employee of Northrop Grumman for 17 years, who most recently served as director of Information and Technology Services on the U.S. Missile Defense Agency Joint National Integration Center Research and Development Contract program. His appointment takes effect on Sept. 19. Kane replaces Sam Abbate.
