Hilton Worldwide, a McLean-based hospitality company, announced it will invest $1.8 million in an expansion to relocate its supply management group and 100 jobs to Fairfax County. (News release)

The Joint Warfare Analysis Center, a unit of the U.S. Joint Forces Command (JFCOM), will lose 171 workers at the Navy’s Dahlgren facility. The move comes as part of the closing of JFCOM by the Defense Department and the loss of 2,300 jobs in Virginia. The rest of the Dahlgren unit will be assigned to another command and continue its work. (Free Lance-Star)

LightSquared, a wholesale integrated wireless broadband and satellite network based in Reston, closed on $586 million in debt, pushing the debt and equity raised in seven months past $2 billion. Proceeds will be used for corporate purposes, including construction of its 4-G wholesale network. (News release)

ManTech International Corp., a Fairfax defense services company, bought TranTech Inc. of Alexandria. The move allows ManTech access to TranTech’s prime position in defense contracts, which have a $12 billion ceiling running through 2018. (Washington Business Journal)

QinetiQ North America Operations LLC, a McLean IT services provider, signed a lease for 70,000 square feet in a new building at the Quantico Corporate Center. The company will make the building its headquarters and consolidate 300 employees from three Stafford County locations. (Washington Business Journal)
